I've spent so much time
Stressed about trivial things I forget my luck. In a life of stress,
All people tend to forget That they are alive. |

These haikus are about how those with privilege tend to forget that they are privileged, and take privileges for granted. You don't need to be excessively wealthy to be living the American Dream. The American Dream encompasses those who work hard and live comfortably, as well. These poems tell my story, of a family that is doing well in the middle class and forgets that they have forty-two hundred square feet to live in, and food to put on the table. The American Dream can include those not overly wealthy, as long as they are happy.
